Army organizes friendly Volleyball Match

Jammu, Apr 17: Volleyball has traditionally been a popular game of Chenab region and is followed passionately by people of all ages. It is a common sight to see the youth playing the game throughout Doda District. In order to provide an opportunity to local youth for showcasing their talent and also to commemorate 75 yrs of Independence, Indian Army organised a Friendly Volleyball Match at Bhart in District Doda (J&K).
The response of locals was overwhelming and the event witnessed active participation of youth and people from all walks of the society. They appreciated the sincere efforts put in by the security forces to constructively engage the youth of the region and requested that many more such sporting events be organised. A total of 60 boys participated in the competition.
