7 bovine animals rescued

Jammu, Apr 17: In an act of alertness, sensitivity and prompt action against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 11 bovine animals at a special naka laid at Bathera. One vehicle bolero bearing Registration number JK02BC/4234 has also been seized.
In this regard, a Case FIR No. 53/2021 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA ACT has been registered at P/S Kahna-chak. However, driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
The rescue of bovine animals has been done under the supervision of SHO P/S Kahnachak Vishav Pratap Singh. Further investigation of the case is going on.
District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace. District Police Jammu is seeking support from the people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause.
