Mayor kick starts various development works

JAMMU, Apr 17: Continuing his endeavour to provide more development & civic amenities to the citizens of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Gopal Gupta Councillor of ward no. 5 today on 17/04/2021 kick started the construction work of lanes & drains at Shahidhi Chowk, Jammu opposite Radha Swami Stasang Ghar with an estimate cost of Rupees Four Lakh only. Speaking on the occasion Mayor said that it was the long pending demands of the locals as the said lane was in dilapidated condition & passersby were facing great hardships while passing through the area.
Later, Mayor in presence of Yash Paul Sharma Chairman of “Swacch Bharat Committee” JMC and Gopal Gupta, Counc-illor of ward no. 5 also inaugurated a deluxe CT/PT unit within the premises of religious place (Karbla) near D.C. Office Jammu which has been constructed on the demands of the management committee as well as locals by a NGO in collaboration with Jammu Municipal Corporation under "Swacch Bharat Mission" to facilitate the Namazees and it has been inaugurated and dedicated to the general public for use during the ongoing Holy Ramzaan month. Mayor told that this CT/PT comprises of separate bathrooms/toilets units for males & females and has been executed with an estimate cost of Rs 11 Lacs only. Management committee of karbla extended great gratitude to the Mayor for fulfilling their demands. Jenab Sohail Kazmi, Senior Law-yer/well known Journalist, Madam Pooja, President of Residency Road Bazar Association, Chaman Lal, Rajesh Kumar as well as R.K. Mahajan, Executive Engineer, concerned Junior Engineer of Division-I and other prominent inhabitants of the area were also remained present during the inauguration function.
