Kapahi elected as Secretary Amar Singh Club

JAMMU, Apr 19: Mr. Anil Kapahi, a renowned business entrepreneur was today elected as the Secretary of Amar Singh Club (Jammu). Mr. Kapahi won the election by 2/3rd majority of members against Mr. Sweesh Anand. The elections were conducted through secret ballots by the Divisional Commi-ssioner Jammu Dr. Raghav Langer, the Vice President of Amar Singh Club (Jammu), in presence of two observers-Er. Kiran Wattal and S. N.S. Chahal.
Today's elections were conducted under the Chair-manship of Dr. Langer. The elections for the Executive Committee were held last month in which 11 members (Anil Kapahi, Siddharth Mehta, Er. Raman Gupta, Anil Kumar Gupta, Dr. Vikram Handa, Sweesh Anand, Er. Vikram Puri, Dr. Nandita Mehta, Er. Gurpreet Singh Chahal, Ms. Ritika Mahajan & Sanjay Sethi) were elected.
Besides, the Govt. also nominated 4 members to the Executive Committee of Amar Singh Club in terms of Section 19(ii) of the club constitution. These four members are Mrs. Anu Malhotra, Dr. Neerupama Dogra Gupta, Bharat Bhushan Sharma & Vikram Gujral).
Speaking on the occasion the Vice President of the club said that the club is like a large family and the team must work together for its further development.
Mr. Kapahi, who has remained several times member of Executive Committee earlier, is an experienced Real Estate Developer. He had secured the highest number of votes in the recently conducted election of the club. Besides this Mr. Kapahi is a social activist and member of various fora.
Expressing his gratitude to Dr. Langer for sparing his valuable time for ensuring smooth conduct of election for the post of Secretary of the club, Mr. Kapahi also thanked members of the Executive Committee for their valuable support in this regard. He hoped that all Executive Members and Esteemed Members of the Club will come forward in new ventures, including philanthropic activities, so that Club reaches its new zenith and truly becomes a Social Club.
