Bank was founded in 1906 as the first bank during the British Raj that catered to the people of India rather than the colonial administration.
Built on principals of prudence and caution and being forward looking, BOI has come out stronger weathering many crisis in the banking as well as other environments and has grown to be the repository of trust among its stakeholders.
