DC Reasi hands over keys of Motorized Tricycles to specially-abled persons

REASI, Sep 17: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today provided twenty motorized tricycles among specially-abled persons as part of the UT level distribution function chaired by Lieutenant Governor J&K.
District Social Welfare Officer, Gulshan Kumar Sharma, TSWO Mahore Hardev Singh along with the officials of Social Welfare Department Reasi were present during the event.
The DC hoped that the motorised Tricycles will empower the people with special needs and bring much needed ease in their life. Charandeep Singh asked the concerned officers from the Social Welfare Department to educate the specially-abled persons about various schemes and programmes launched for their well being. He called for motivating them to avail the benefits of the recently MADAD (Maintenance of Differently Abled) initiative launched by District Administration.
Gulshan Kumar, DSWO informed that the mobility of the specially abled people would be pivotal in earning them sustainable livelihoods without inconvenience.
