BJP to undertake cleanliness drive on banks of water bodies: Kaul

JAMMU, Sept 18: Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir will undertake rigourous cleanliness drive especially on the banks of various water bodies including rivers, riverlets, brooks and ponds in connection with the "Sewa Aur Samarpan Abhi-yaan" programme on birthday celebration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul was chairing a joint meeting of Namami Gange and Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan Departments of party at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar. Ashok Kaul accompanied by senior party leaders Chander Mohan Shar-ma & Prem Nath Dogra briefed the party leaders from Namami Gange & Swacch Bharat Depart-ments on the roadmap for the cleanliness drive to be conducted by party activists.
Ashok Kaul asked the Namami Gange team to undertake cleaning of banks of rivers, riverlets, brooks and ponds etc. at 71 places since it was 71st Birthday of Modi ji. He directed the team members to complete the projects before 7th of Oct. as these are the cherished goals of PM Modi ji. He asked them to complete this goal well within the time span of 20 days of "Sewa Aur Samarpan Abhiyaan" programme being undertaken by the party in which various Sewa programmes are being undertaken at the ground level.
Kaul also asked them to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd of October by making special cleanliness drive and promote Khadi and Khadi products during the whole programme. Balwin-der Singh Bhatia, Narayan Sharma, Veena Gurtu, Satpal Singh Rathore and others were amongst the prominent who participated in the meeting.
