J&K reports 168 new Covid cases, no deaths

JAMMU, Sep 19: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 168 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the tally to 3,27,941, while no fresh deaths was reported from the union territory in the past 24 hours, officials said.
Out of the fresh cases, 15 were from the Jammu Division and 153 from the Kashmir Division of the union territory, they said.
The officials said Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 92 cases, followed by 20 cases in Budgam district.
There are 1,493 active cases in the union territory, while the number of those recovered was 3,22,032, they said.
The death toll in the union territory due the virus was 4,416 as no fresh death was reported in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the officials said there were 46 confirmed cases of mucormycosis or black fungus in the union territory as no fresh case was reported since last evening.
The Bulletin further said that out of 14315258 test results available, 13987317 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 3464809 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7922 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1493 in isolation and 462472 in home surveillance. Besides, 2988506 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 73635 positive cases (including 92 cases reported today) with 795 Active Positive, 72002 recovered (including 70 cases recovered today), 838 deaths; Baramulla has 24165 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 134 Active Positive, 23749 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23448 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 135 active positive cases, 23106 recovered (including 20 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15410 positive cases with 32 Active Positive, 15184 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14317 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today), 30 Active Positive, 14121 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths; Anantnag district has 16495 positive cases with 21 Active Positive, 16269 recovered and 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9698 positive cases with 29 Active Positive, 9568 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10227 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 54 Active Positive, 10094 recoveries and 79 deaths; Kulgam has 11471 positive cases 33 Active Positive, 11321 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5603 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 5542 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 53110 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 51 active positive cases, 51916 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today), 1143 deaths; Udhampur has 11390 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 11248 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11145 positive cases with 22 active positive, 10887 recoveries and 236 deaths; Doda has 7716 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 73 Active positive, 7512 recovered and 131 deaths; Kathua has 9288 positive cases with 01 active positive case, 9136 recovered and 151 deaths; Samba has 7140 positive cases with 02 active positive cases, 7018 recoveries and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4805 positive cases with 08 Active Positive, 4753 recoveries and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6340 positive cases with 08 active positive, 6235 recoveries and 97 deaths; Ramban has 6011 positive cases with 12 active positive cases, 5932 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6527 positive cases with 45 active positive cases, 6439 recoveries and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 327941 positive cases in J&K, 23351 have been reported as travelers while 304590 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2012 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 401 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2978 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 261 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 4990 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 662 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
