NDA organizes COVID awareness, medical camp

JAMMU, Sep 20: NDA organized 31st COVID-19 Awareness Cum Medical Camp, dedicates it to International Day of Peace (UN) at Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Bishnah
BISHNAH: Nations Development Association (NDA) J&K today organised 31st COVID-19 Awareness cum Medical Camp at Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Bishnah (SGRDS) in collaboration with Directorate of AYUSH J&K (ISM) where AYUSH Immunity Boosting drugs were supplied by Indian Systems of Medicines to locals through their expert team of doctors, following the guidelines issued by the local administrations.
The camp organised by Nations Development Association (NDA) is dedicated to the International Day Of Peace United Nations for the first time it was observed in September 1982 and in 2001, the General Assembly adopted a resolution 55/282, which established 21 September as International Day Of Peace of Non- Violence and cease fire. Over 200 people were attended by team of doctors of ISM deputed by Dr. Suresh Sharma, ADMO, Jammu including Dr. Veenu Gupta, MO AYUSH J&K and Vipan Khajuria. Earlier, awareness on COVID-19 was also conducted by a team of doctors.
The camp was inaugurated by Tehsildar BishnahSohan Lal Rana in the presence of Block Medical Officer (BMO), Bishnah Dr Rakesh Magotra, Chairman Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Bishnah Er R.C Bhasin, Vice Chairman Er Surinder Devgowda, President Former Chief Education Officer Sardari Lal and Member''s SGRDS Bishnah Chairman Nations Development Association (NDA) Sushil Singh Charak, Local Sarpanch, Panches, Sukanya Devi , Meenu Devi, Naresh Verma and COVID-19 Relief representative of civil society and local administration.
While inaugurating the camp the Chief Guest Tehsildar BishnahSohan Lal Rana appreciated the role of Directorate of AYUSH J&K , Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) and Nations Development Association (NDA) COVID-19 Relief and Response Team under the ages of NDA and the associated Social Organizations those who are involved in the service of humankind during this pandemic risking their lives. In his address, Chairman Nations Development Assoc-iation ParyavaranRatna Awarded Sushil Singh Charak attributed the success of the camp to the spirit of Shri Guru Ravi Dass, Guru of the Nation.
