Books by Dr. Snobar released at GCW Parade

JAMMU, Sep 20: A function was held at Govt. College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu today to release two books titled "Farista" and "Nari Chetna Di Kavita (Aalochana)" written by Dr Snober, a promissing Punjabi writer of Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. BaljeetKour, HoDDeptt. of Punjabi, University of Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Dr. S P Sarswat, Principal GCW, Parade Ground, Jammu presided over the function.
Veteran writer Khalid Hussain, Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina, Chief Editor, Aabru (Punjabi magazine approved by UGC), Dr. Monojit, President, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu and S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor, Sheeraza Punjabi wre also present in the presidium.
Papers on the released books were read out by Dr. Kamaldeep Singh, Dr. Mamta and Gurpreet Kour. The papers reflected on the features of the poetry of "Farista" and the articles included in the "Nari Chetna Di Kavita (Aalochana)". The chief guest appreciated the contribution of Dr.Snobar in enriching Punjabi literature. Dr. S P Sarswat complimented Dr. Snobar for her role as a poet and writer as well as a good teacher at faculty of GCW, Parade Ground, Jammu.
Dr. Snobarhas inherited creative writing from her father Kanwarimtiyaz, a senstive Punjabi poet & Editor of a Punjabi Magazine 'Waaris'.
She has presented her poetry on All India Radio, Online All India and International Mushairas organized in India, Audtralia and Canada, and on other Channels. She has also written and presented her research papers and reviews on a number of books.
Her articles and Punjabi poetry have been published in various magazines and news papers, like Sheeraza, Aabru, Alakh, Ajj Di Awaaz, NawanZamana, Kavlok, British Columbia, Malwa Bani, Doaba Express, Saanjh (Epaper) etc.
