2 COVID deaths, 145 fresh cases reported

JAMMU, Sep 21: There was no let up in the COVID positive cases despite taking stern action against those who are violating COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) in the Jammu and Kashmir, where two patients have died and 145 fresh cases were recorded during the past 24 hours.
"No new confirmed case of mucormycosis has been reported today, an official spokesman said adding till now a total of 46 confirmed cases have been reported in the J&K.
He said 145 fresh cases of COVID positive cases were reports during the past 24 hours in the J&K. Out of these 24 were from Jammu and 121 in Kashmir division.
He said two patients have died in Jammu division on September 21.
In Srinagar Deputy Commissioner, has warned stern action against those who are found violating CAB. He also threatened action against those who are serving more guests during marriage ceremonies against the number approved by the administration. Over 24 shops have been sealed for violating the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in Srinagar during the past two days.
However, despite taking these measures, Srinagar continued to record highest number of positive cases in the J&K.
Spokesman said 56 fresh cases were reported followed by 19 in Badgam, 13 each in Baramulla and Ganderbal, five each in Puwama, Kupwara and Bandipora, four in Anantnag and one in Kulgam. However, no fresh case is reported in Shopian.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 328214 positive cases, 1450 are Active Positive, 322345 have recovered and 4419 have died; 2172 in Jammu division and 2247 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 14408501 test results available, 14080287 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 3479038 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8080 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1450 in isolation and 461587 in home surveillance. Besides, 3003502 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 73759 positive cases (including 56 cases reported today) with 768 Active Positive, 72153 recovered (including 72 cases recovered today), 838 deaths; Baramulla has 24187 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 132 Active Positive, 23773 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23481 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 138 active positive cases, 23136 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15419 positive cases with 28 Active Positive, 15197 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14326 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today), 31 Active Positive, 14129 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths; Anantnag district has 16500 positive cases with 18 Active Positive, 16277 recovered and 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9705 positive cases with 28 Active Positive, 9576 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10246 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 63 Active Positive, 10104 recoveries and 79 deaths; Kulgam has 11472 positive cases 24 Active Positive, 11331 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5604 positive cases with 02 active positive cases, 5544 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 53121 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 56 active positive cases, 51922 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 1143 deaths; Udhampur has 11396 positive cases with 09 active positive cases, 11250 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11148 positive cases with 19 active positive, 10892 recoveries and 237 deaths; Doda has 7724 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 62 Active positive, 7529 recovered and 133 deaths; Kathua has 9288 positive cases with no active positive case, 9137 recovered and 151 deaths; Samba has 7142 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 7019 recoveries and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4808 positive cases with 11 Active Positive, 4753 recoveries and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6341 positive cases with 05 active positive, 6239 recoveries and 97 deaths; Ramban has 6013 positive cases with 06 active positive cases, 5940 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6534 positive cases with 47 active positive cases, 6444 recoveries and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 328214 positive cases in J&K, 23368 have been reported as travelers while 304846 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2007 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 398 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2989 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 257 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 4996 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 655 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
