JAMMU, Oct 15: Welcoming the statement made by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri over the approval of Metro Rail Project in J&K, senior BJP leader Kavinder said that BJP Government will leave no promise unfulfilled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as step by step things are being accomplished as were envisaged by PM Narendra Modi.
In a statement issued here on Friday, the former Deputy Chief Minister said that Jammu and Kashmir is treading on the development path with the pace as never seen before. He made it clear that whatever has been said about the development revolution in the UT of J&K will be accomplished sooner than later by the BJP Government. He said that on completion, the Metro Project will help out in tackling snarling traffic as this will help in eliminating rush on roads, effectively countering the problem of pollution due to excess vehicles on roads. The senior BJP leader said that tourism will also get the much desired push by Metro as it will become convenient to commute between places in the UT especially in Jammu and Srinagar Cities.
"On the whole this will create a win-win situation for all the people who have to travel and commute within Jammu and Srinagar cities. Whatever was promised to the people of J&K about making it a robust place as far as civic infra and people-friendly development edifice is concerned has been realized in record time and it is matter of few more years when people of UT of J&K can boast of their cities to be the ultra modern ones and comparable to top cities of the world", he said.
Kavinder asserted that there is no reason for the people in Jammu not to support the initiatives taken by the BJP government at the Centre and the UT administration which is the face of the central dispensation in J&K as plans are conceived there and are realized here on ground.
