Randhawa starts culvert and drain work at Sainik Colony

JAMMU, Jan 18: Jammu Municipal Corporation Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa started culvert and drain work with an estimated cost of four lakh at Sector A of Sainik Colony. The drain has been in dilapidated condition for a long and the residents were facing a lot of problems due to its dilapidated condition during Monsoon season. Portion of the drain was washed away during Monsoon.
She urged residents to follow COVID guidelines issued by the Govt. She said that works worth 8 crores have been completed in my ward in the last two years which includes roads, drains, culverts, deep drains, tiling and electricity. This includes blacktopping worth approximately 4.5 crores. Macadamisation work of approximately seventy five lakhs is sanctioned and will be executed on improvement of weather. All works are executed based on necessity and without bias. The problems related to waterlogging will be solved with embankment of main Nallah under AMRUT.
The residents appreciated her efforts and thanked the councillor for her proactive approach in handling problems of Ward-69.
