Bollywood offers me the chance to reach out to a wider audience: Sai Tamhankar
21/01/2022
Apart from a queue of Marathi films that are lined up for release, Sai Tamhankar has interesting Bollywood and digital projects in her kitty.
Definitely having an exciting time as an actor, the Mimi actress is now vying for versatile roles more than ever. "I don’t dwell too much on how my career is shaping up, but I’m happy with the kind of roles that I’m getting to play today," she says.
Sai, who will soon be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's India Lockdown, has bagged another Hindi film and has been currently shooting for the same.
The actress, however, remains tight-lipped about the details. "All I can say is that I’m really excited for this new journey. In 2022, I have decided to be a part of good projects.
However, for me, doing a variety of roles is more fascinating, and this film offers me that opportunity. It is a challenge that I always wanted to take up.
So far, the experience has been immensely surreal," says Sai, adding, "Bollywood offers me a chance to reach out to a much wider audience. The online streaming platforms are booming as well. I will soon start shooting for another web-series."
Shooting amidst the pandemic is stressful, and Sai insists that it’s important to be cautious and not panic. "We have all been through a lot and have emerged stronger.
It is important to be a little practical at this juncture. I am juggling the shoots of the Hindi project and my Marathi show Maharashtrachi Hasya Jatra. We are taking all the necessary precautionary measures on both the sets. We can't afford to be lenient, but we need to stay calm as well. I hope that we all return to normalcy soon."
The actress recently took some time off from her busy schedule, to unwind in the wilderness of Kanha National Park.
Sharing her experience, she says, "I wanted to give a wonderful kick-start to 2022. And what's better than unwinding in the lap of nature? I spotted a tiger, a wild boar and wild dogs. But what really touched me was the sight of a newborn fawn. It was so beautiful. I feel nature never ceases to amaze you."
