Rupali Suri, who was the 2nd Runner-up at the Miss Tourism International pageant, has been instrumental in planting trees to replace those destroyed by Cyclone Tauktae, which struck the Indian coast of Kerala, Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra last year.
The actress, who is the Green Ambassador of the Make Earth Green Again (MEGA) Foundation, says, “Protecting the planet is a cause that is close to my heart.
So, when I was approached to be the Green Ambassador by Make Earth Green Again (MEGA) Foundation, I gladly agreed.” Joining many celebs and changemakers, Rupali, who has been a part of several tree plantation drives in Mumbai, wants the youth to embrace such opportunities to fight climate change and preserve the ecosystem for future generations.
Hoping to inspire others to do their bit, Rupali is vocal about issues like the importance of conservation of the ecosystem, eradicating single-use plastic goods from our lives, tree plantation, as well as speaking up against body-shaming and supporting women empowerment.
She often highlights the importance of clean air and the effects of climate change.
On the work front, she recently bagged an exciting project that features veteran actor Vikram Gokhale. Rupali is excited about her role in the movie, and believes that each step in the industry is a learning opportunity.
The actress, who has been a part of the film Dad Hold My Hand with Ratna Pathak Shah, which was shot entirely in London, is also in talks for several interesting projects that are likely to be announced soon.
