Sub Judge directs SHO Channi Himmat to register FIR in cognizable offence

JAMMU, May 13: Sub-Judge Jammu Ms. Renu Dogra Gupta directed the SHO Police Station Channi Himmat, Jammu to register FIR in a cognizable case under sections 420, 504, 506 IPC.
The complainant was moved by Rajesh Kapoor through Mr AK Sawhney, Advocate. Dheeraj Singh Charak, Advocate, Mr. Manzar Advocate and Tesheena Advocate after going through the complainant and arguments of Mr. Aseem Sawhney Advocate passed the order to register the FIR.
Mr. Aseem Sawhney Advocate urged that the J&K High Court recently passed the significant judgment relying upon the Supreme Court guidelines, Justice Mohan Lal pronounced the Judgment and laid guidelines for registration of FIR in a cognizable case. Ld. Sub Judge relying upon the said guidelines directed S.H.O to register F.I.R the extract of the order reads to the P/S Channi Himmat.
"4. Complaint discloses the commission of cognizable offences, hence, SHO p/S Channi Himmat, Jammu is directed to register case against the accused U/S 156(3) Cr.P.C if not registered already. Let the copy of this order alongwith the photocopy of complaint be forwarded to SHO P/S Channi Himmat, Jammu, for registration of case under relevant sections. SHO, P/S Channi Himmat Jammu is further directed to annex the original compliant after getting it from the court whenever he will present either charge sheet or final report before the court. “
