PC committed to carve out space out spaces for youth participation in politics: Vakil

Srinagar, May 16: A one-day convention by the Youth People's Conference was held in Nowhatta Srinagar today. The convention was presided by Youth President J&K PC Youth President Sheikh Mohammad Imran.
Addressing the convention, senior vice president of Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil termed the government's claims regarding providing employment to the unemployed youth a cruel joke.
He said that the government promised to provide employment to thousands of unemployed youth but those claims are limited to statements only.
"It is not in the interest of the country or Jammu and Kashmir to renege on the promises made to the youth", he said.
Vakil further said that the central government must restore statehood to J&K without any delay or condition if they are keen to see huge participation of people in the coming elections.
