APS Rakhmuthi celebrates Annual Day, Silver Jubilee


JAMMU, May 20: Army Public School Rakhmuthi celebrated its Annual Day and Silver Jubilee-25 years of prosperity and success with grandeur in Byram Auditorium, Rakhmuthi station.
The theme of the function was 'AASHAYEIN'. The function was presided over by the Patron and the Chairman APS Rakhmuthi along with the other distinguished dignitaries. The auditorium was beautifully adorned with flags and rangolis; and presented a colourful arena.
The programme commenced with lighting of traditional lamp as a tribute to mother Saraswati followed by presentation of the school annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school by Principal, Ms Shaswati Ghosh.
The programme perpetuated with a welcome song as a reverent salutation to learners. It was followed by a performance of our junior enthusiastic learners of class I on the song 'School Chale Hum' depicting faces full of happiness and hope as the junior most learners step in school after a considerable gap. A sublunary bonanza of skits, songs and dances enthralled the audience. The skits were based on the themes 'A Positive Mindset Shapes Positive Souls' in 'Optimistic Granny'. The students have risen from petulancy to sagacity. Their phraseology with cadence overflew the audience. The folk and fusion dances from East-South-West-North depicted how learning can bring 'Unity in Diversity'. It was followed by a group song, Mime and Grand Finale.
The function culminated with prize distribution to our academic toppers and the students excelling in cultural field by our eminent Chief Guest. The chief guest eloquently addressed the gathering with his views on futuristic vision and conveyed the necessity of co-curricular activities along with academic learning. He also praised the students and staff of the school. Vote of thanks was presented by the Principal. The day ended in beautiful resonance with National Anthem, lingering in everybody's mind.
Annual Fete was also organized as a part of our Silver Jubliee celebration for the first time in the school on 29 April 2022. Chairman APS, Rakhmuthi along with junior wing students performed ribbon cutting ceremony and initiated the event. There were stalls of tasty delicacies like Panipuri, Momos, Dahi-bhalla, Jalebi, Kulfi, Ice-cream which tickled the taste buds of our students as well as parents. The games such as Dart, Shooting, Ring-throw along with Mehendi Stall and a Photo Booth kept the audience busy while four fun-stations were the main attraction of the Fete.
