DC Jammu reviews working of Revenue Department
Asks for retrieval of all encroached Government land

Jammu, May 20: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa today reviewed the functioning of Revenue Department including online services and other related matters here at a meeting held in DC Office Complex. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Satish Sharma; ACR, Vijay Kumar, SDMs, Tehs-ildars along with other officers from Revenue department attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of writing of Jamabandis and their digitization, writing of Khasra Girdawari Registers, Attestation of Mutati-ons, Demarcation of state land, eviction of encroachment from state land, status of disposal of court cases, scanning of revenue documents etc. She asked for speedy writing of Jamabandis, digitization, attestation of mutations and writing of Girdawaris and set timelines for each tehsil.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the officers to launch anti-encroachment drives to vacate State, Kahcharai and common land in their respective areas. She also directed the Tehsildars for speedy disposal of revenue related court cases.
