Despite SC’s observations on adjournments, still civil cases lingering on; Civil suit pending Feb 18 2013

JAMMU, Jun 30: The Supreme Court of India has recently held that “It breaks the back of litigants; insults & kills justice” and further asked the Courts to come out of the adjournment culture, still the case are being adjourned and the phenomenon of “tareek pe tareek” is not ending.
In one of the civil classic case pending since 2013 title Jeep Singh V/S Mandeep Kour & ors in the Court of Addl. Distt. Judge, Jammu.
Mr. A.K Sawhney Advocate recently engaged by the Plaintiff Jeep Singh Since the earlier Advocate died and later the counsel conducting the case is elevated to High Court of U.T of J&K and Ladakh but the poor Plaintiff litigant an old, man struggling for Justice.
Mr. A.K Sawhney Advocate appeared before the Court of Addl. Distt. Judge, Jammu and pleaded that let Justice be done before a litigant dies.
Proximately 10 years passed and only Plaintiff's witnesses recorded so far. Defence witnesses yet to be produced. Opportunity after appertaining for produce civil defense witnesses of defendant are sought from 30-7-2019 and more than 30 Opportunities granted without cost.
Only God knows how many more opportunities to be granted that too without exemplary costs. New civil procedure code order XVA prescribes only six months to conclude the whole trail.
It is high time to do Justice within stipulated period of six month under law and in a reasonable dispatch. The Court chart of Addl. Distt. Judge, Jammu displaying opportunities for producing defence witnesses, Even recently Judgment was delivered by Justice Rahul Bharti asking the Civil Courts to brace up.
