3 days training programme on “Social Defense including Transgender persons, Beggary Prevention, Old age Care, Drug Abuse Prevention” concludes at SKPAU

Udhampur, Sep 26: 03 days training programme on "Social Defense including Transgender persons, Beggary Prevention, Old age Care, Drug Abuse Prevention" sponsored by National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment New Delhi culminated today at SKPA Udhampur. The training programme involved discussions and deliberations on Social Defence issues of Old age care, Maintenance and welfare of parent and Senior Citizens, Drug abuse, Transgenders, Beggary Prevention, Drug de-addiction and rehabilitation centers, Roles of Police department. Besides field visit to Old age Home was also scheduled in this 03 days event.
Shri Pawan Kumar Sharma, SP, SKPA was the Chief Guest on the occasion of valediction. In his valedictory address he said that the programme being first of its kind provided an opportunity to the participants to share their experiences and ideas on Social Defense issues. The programme was designed to address the distinct needs of social stigma and helping them to improve their upskills. Interactions with accomplished, experienced and distinctive faculty members and other high achieving peers facilitated in enriching the participants experience and insights resulting in holistic learning. This Academy had tried to bring an amalgamation of theoretical pedagogy as well as contemporary relevant examples and experience from real life to this training programme aimed at honing a conceptual and contextual clarity.
The course was coordinated by Sukhvir Singh, Asstt. Director (Admn.)and Tarsem Kumar, Inspector. Besides, Vishal Manhas, Administrative Officer/ Asstt. Director (Outdoor) was also present on the valedictory function.
