Army organised a Painting Competition on World River Day in Batu, Ramban

Jammu, Sep 28: Indian Army on the occasion of World River Day, a Painting Competition was organised by Indian Army at Govern-ment High School, Chakna-rwah, Banihal in Ramban District. The theme of the event was Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and Save Rivers and Clean Rivers. Initially lecture on importance of river and its role in maintaining water cycle was conducted for all students and staff in school, and
subsequently a Painting Competition was organised on similar theme.
A total of 50 students painted their idea on saving river and environment. The enthusiasm and joyful participation by small kids added to the energy of event. The children were facilitated with painting kit and stationery items
to further encourage them in pursuing painting as their hobby.
