GDC Khour observes Poshan Maah

JAMMU, Sep 29: NSS Volunteers of GDC Khour observed Poshan Maah and visited Anganwadi Center at Nai Basti Khour. The volunteers engaged in playful interactions with children aged 6 to 12 in an effort to instil healthy eating habits in them. Chil-dren were educated on the nutritional benefits of consuming an assortment of fruits and vegetables.
About 15 NSS volunteers participated in this drive. This activitywas part of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah being celebrated during the month of September under POSHAN Abhiyaan, an overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition.
The purpose of the event was to promote the nutritional awareness
among young children. The programme was organised by NSS programme Officer Gurvinder Kour under the able guidance of Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) T K Sharma.
