Weekly Block Diwas: Mega Public Outreach camps held at 5 locations in Doda

DODA, Nov 30: To listen to the issues and grievances of the people, Public Outreach Programme was held today at five locations across the district. The locations include; Panchayat Chownry, Sub Division Gandoh; BDO Office Assar, Sub Division Assar; BDO Office Bhadarwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Dak Bungalow Thathri, Sub Division Thathri; and BDO office Ghat, Doda.
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahaj-an listened to public grievances at BDO Office Ghat along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, BDC Chairperson Ghat Shareefa Begum, DDC Councillor Ghat Gulshan Ara and other District and sectoral officers. Several public delegations, individuals besides PRI members projected the local dema-nds & problems being faced by the public.
Prior to the Block Diwas program DC along with SSP, BDC Chairperson Ghat, DDC Councillor Ghat, CEO & ZEO Ghat visited Govern-ment Higher Secondary School Ghat and interacted with students and staff of the school. The DC while addressing the public said that Block Divas is aimed at getting first hand appraisal of the problems and developmental aspirations of the people. He called upon the field functionaries of different departments to work in close coordination with PRIs to ensure prompt delivery of essential services and also issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of genuine demands and grievances of public importance.
The DC assured the public that their demands will be redressed on priority by mobilizing all available reso-urces. He also directed the officers to work with missionary zeal to meet and address the genuine dem-ands of the Public. He stres-sed on active public/PRIs participation in making this district Drugs free & Swach.
He informed that during Jan Abhiyaan and second phase of My Town My Pride programme, special camps of all the public services delivery departments have been established from 28th of November to 4th of December, at Community Hall Doda, Community Hall Bhaderwah and Dakbun-glow Thathri. He urged the public to visit the camps and get the services of various departments on the spot. He also made public aware of special initiatives of District Administration like Swach Gaon Sunder Gaon, Innovation Chall-enge, Know your Real Her-oes, Talent haunt, School Prabhari scheme etc.
