NSS SMVDU organises cleanliness drive

KATRA, Jan 29: NSS SMVDU in collaboration with district administration Reasi organized a cleanliness Drive under the aegis of Swacch Bharat Mission.
The drive was organized to collect mainly plastic wastes alongside the National Highway NH-144. Total 15 teams were deputed by district administration Reasi to clean the Reasi-Katra highway in this drive.
The NSS SMVDU team covered a total of 2.5 Km distance during the drive. Around 80 Kg of plastic waste was collected by the volunteers during the drive.
The drive lasted for around 2 hours and 30 volunteers participated in the said drive. NSS Programme coordinator Dr. Rajiv Kumar also participated in the drive. Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.K. Sinha appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers.
