Police recovers kidnapped minor girl within hours in Pulwama, 3 arrested

Pulwama, Jan 30: Police in Pulwama have recovered a kidnapped minor girl and arrested 03 accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
On 29/01/2023, Police Station Rajpora received a written complaint from a resident of Sonabanjer Khaigam stating there in that his daughter aged about 15years has been kidnapped by three persons namely Sharief Ah-mad Awan son of Mohd Ismail Awan, Sajad Ahmad Awan, Javaid Ahmad Awan, both sons of Sharif Ahmad Awan, all residents of Pahli-pora Keller.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 07/23 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Rajpora and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, a special Police team was constituted to trace out the kidnapped girl. The investigating team acting swiftly, raided various suspected locations. After strenuous efforts, the special team was able to recover the kidnapped girl from village Hergam Keller area of Shopian within hours after the complaint was registered. Besides, all the accused persons involved in the commission of crime have also been arrested.
After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
