Sudershan Singh Wazir, two financers arrested in TS Wazir’s murder case

JAMMU, Feb 1: Solving the suspicious murder case of Ex-MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir, the Delhi police has arrested J&K Sikh United Front Chairman Sudershan Singh Wazir and his two associates running finance companies in Jammu.
Besides Sudershan Wazir, others who have been arrested include Harjinder Singh Raina and Jagpal Singh, both residents of Nanak Nagar, Jammu.
The Crime Branch Cell of Delhi Police, investigating the case summoned the trio to Delhi and today arrested them after their brief interrogation.
The business rivalry led to the murder conspiracy and the accused planned to murder Tarlochan Singh Wazir, at Delhi. Former MLC Tarlochan Singh Wazir was also Chairman of State Gurdwara Parbandhak Board and head of All J&K Transport Welfare Association.
Earlier on September 20, 2021, Harmeet Singh (61) was arrested by the Delhi Police’s special cell from Jammu. The other key suspect, Harpreet Singh Khalsa, is still at large. One pistol and a cartridge were recovered from Harmeet.
On September 16, 2021, the police arrested two persons -Balbir Singh alias Billa (67), and Rajender Chaudhary alias Raju Ganja ( 33), in connection with the murder of Wazir, whose decomposed body was found in Harpreet’s rented flat at Basai Darapur near Moti Nagar in west Delhi on September 9, 2021.
Police said the murder took place on September 3, 2021, the day T S Wazir was scheduled to board a flight to Canada to attend a family function. He came to Delhi in a flight from Jammu on September 2, and was staying at Harpreet’s flat. Wazir’s bullet-riddled decomposed body was found in the locked flat on September 9.
A murder case was registered at Delhi and the investigation was handed over to the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch.
Karan Singh, son of former MLC T S Wazir, while talking to media persons on late Tuesday night said Sudershan Singh Wazir was misleading masses over the murder of his father and had also sabotaged their programme to meet Union Home Minister, Amit Shah during his visit to Jammu.
“Today after his arrest, I appeal to the Delhi police to conduct detailed interrogation so that the prime accused Sudershan Wazir and his accomplices be given capital punishment for brutally killing my father,” said Karan Singh.
