Special lecture on implementation of NEP-2020 organised in GDC RS Pura

JAMMU, Feb 2: Debate, Seminar and Literary Committee (DSL) of Govt. Degree College organized special lecture on "Implementation of NEP in J&K Colleges" under the guidance of Prof. Rajni Bhagat, Principal of the college and Dr Neena Gupta, Convener, DSL Committee. Mr. Rakesh Kumar Badyal, Special Secretary to Higher Education Department was the chief guest and resource person for today's special lecture. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Ms. Shaveta Chowdhary, Member, DSL Committee.
The programme started with lighting of lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana by the students of the college.
The formal welcome address was given by Prof. Rajni Bhagat in which she appreciated the efforts of special secretary for successfully rolling out NEP in J&K colleges. Mr. Rakesh KumarBadyal, in his lecture, spoke extensively on various horizons of NEP-2020.
He emphasized on the increased research skill for elevating the education scenario in India.He elaborated in detail the various digital initiatives taken by the Higher Education Depar-tment with emphasis to take educational standard of the institutions to the optimum level of excellence.
A memento of appreciation was given to special secretary, HED for his contribution in growth of Higher Education Depar-tment.
The event concluded with the formal vote of thanks by Dr. Neha Jain, HOD, Computer Applica-tions.
