Retrieved encroached land from Ex-Minister, demolished shopping complex of Hurriyat leader

SRINAGAR, Feb 2: In its ongoing anti encroachment drive, Jammu and Kashmir government retrieved land from kin of a former National Conference minister and demolished alleged illegal shopping structure of Hurriyat leader in Anantnag district on Thursday.
The administration in Anantnag retrieved alleged encroached land from kin of former Forest Minister. The land, measuring 1 kanal and 18 marlas is registered as Kahcharai in Estate Kurigam of Tehsil Qazigund, officials said
The said piece of land, valued at more than Rs 1 crore, had been illegally encroached upon and is one of the many such patches of land retrieved from clutches of influential land grabbers, an official spokesman said.
The district administration also demolished an 'llegal shopping complex of Hurriyat leader and former Mirwaiz of South Kashmir, Qazi Yasir raised on state land near the stadium in Anantnag.
