Dy Mayor kick starts work of laying of paver tiles

JAMMU, Feb 3: Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the work of laying of paver tiles and construction of drains at Ward 56, Jawala Ji Colony, in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency.
This construction work will be executed by the Jammu Municipal Corpor-ation (JMC). Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the work is being done to provide basic facilities to the residents of the area and to make them aware about cleanliness and hygiene.
He said that with the deteriorated condition of the lane, the passersby were facing great hardship while walking through the area now after the completion of this construction work people will get a lot of relief. Deputy Mayor Jammu also said that this work will help in providing a better living environment to the people.
He directed the concerned Engineers and contractor to complete the work within the stipulated time frame by use of best quality construction material for its long durability and upto the satisfaction of locals. He said that it is the responsibility of each and every citizen to take part in this development and contribute to the betterment of the city.
The Deputy Mayor Jammu also highlighted the various government initiatives taken to ensure a better quality of living in the city.
He said that the JMC was committed to making Jammu a model city and urged residents to cooperate with the authorities in their endeavors.
