‘I had lied and wente partying’: Alia Bhatt

With back to back hits, Alia Bhatt is slowly making her way to the top. She recently made some candid confessions on The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai on the small screen. Alia said that she always wanted to be an actor, and mind it, the most loved one. She said, "I always wanted to be an actress since childhood. Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, I wanted to be like everyone. I wanted to be like Shah Rukh Khan also, not just one particular person. I want to be the most loved actor, a superstar. I want to be such that people cannot forget me. But there is still a long way to go, I have just taken the first step." However with all the stardom pouring in, her father, Mahesh Bhatt had given her some sound advice too, "When you feel that you have arrived, achieved everything, that is when your downfall starts," stated Alia.
Alia Bhatt also revealed on the show, that once she was badly blasted by her father. While she did not want to get into the details of why Mahesh Bhatt had yelled at her, Alia did give an overview, she said, "Once when I was 16-17, I had lied and gone partying. It is very easy to get lost in parties and glamour. I was young at that time. And in my training then I was told that you have to take work very seriously, reckless lifestyle doesn't work." Alia also said that she still parties hard, "I drink at times, and have also got very high at times. But however old you are, you always go quiet in front of your parents. No matter how legal it is. But my mom is very open about it, and we discuss it at times."
The actress shares a very close relationship with her mother, Soni Razdan; Alia Bhatt revealed on The Anupam Kher Show- Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai that they fight every 2-3 days. Her father, Mahesh Bhatt stated, "Their fights are at high pitch." and that he has to interfere and he takes Alia's side.
Talking about her relationship with her parents, Alia said, "My mother still treats me like a kid. I am working now but she gives me the advice to eat on time, sleep on time, cancel my shoots. But then I tell her that it doesn't work this way. I am very much enjoying the adrenaline. Dad whereas is the opposite, when I sound tired on the phone he becomes happy and understands. But for my mother I am still a kid."
While Alia Bhatt is making her way through some of the biggest production houses in the industry, her father has still not worked with her. Talking about the same on the show Alia said, "Dad always says, "I am an extinct volcano so I don't know how to make him direct a film for me." The actress and doting daughter also revealed a special moment when her father felt depressed because of her, Alia said, "Papa one called me up and said, "I am very depressed, because everyone is calling me Alia Bhatt's father and not Mahesh Bhatt. I can't believe that this is happening." But he was laughing too. How much ever she may love her father, Alia doesn't want a husband like him, she said, "It is not my wish to have a husband like my father. But I want someone who can make me laugh and I can be myself with. I am a very close kind of a person and I don't open up very easily. I get scared that he shouldn't known who I am."
Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt are daughters of Mahesh Bhatt from his second wife, Soni Razdan, making them step sisters of Pooja Bhatt.
Talking about her relationship with everyone, Alia Bhatt said on The Anupam Kher Show - Kucch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, "Recently it has become much better, we have come very close as a family, I have never felt the step sister and step mother emotions, our family is very real with each other, there is no fakeness. We genuinely spend time together." Pooja Bhatt has also been promoting her baby sister. With all the pictures doing the rounds on social networking sites, there seems to be a very positive feeling of bonding between all.
