Mir addresses public meeting at Kungamdara
Says equitable, pro-people development carried across the State

KUNGAMDARA, AUGUST 27: Minister for Agriculture Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir today said that government has ensured equitable development of all the three regions of the state during last six years adding that marvelous achievements registered during the period is visible at the grass-root level.
The Minister was addressing a large public meeting at Kungamdara in Tangmarg Tehsil today.
The Minister said that to provide transparent and accountable governance to the people of State, landmark achievements including holding of Panchayat elections, setting up of new administrative units, legislations like Right to Information Act (RTI), Public Services Guarantee Act etc goes to the credit of the present government.
Mr. Mir said, Government ensured better basic facilities to the people, especially in rural and far-flung areas. He said drinking water, road connectivity, education, Health and electricity remained focus areas of the government and special attention was paid to these sectors during the past six years. He said the infrastructure in these sectors has been upgraded substantially to overcome the difficulties of the people.
The Minister said that the people are best judges to check and verify the overall development scenario of the State on ground. He said Government has launched scores of people friendly schemes which will benefit the people in the long run.
