60th NS Games under 14 Boys-Girls in Badminton concludes

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 25: 60th National School Badminton Games under 14 boys and girls, organized by the department of Youth Services and Sports under the aegis of School Games Federation of India, concluded here today.
Chief Secretary, Mr Mohammad Iqbal Khandey was the chief guest, while the Director General Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Navin Aggarwal, who is Chairman of the organizing committee of 60th National School Games, was also present on the closing ceremony of the championship.
The Chief Secretary congratulated all the participating teams, come from other parts of the country. He said the performances exhibited by the players testify that there is no dearth of talent in the country, adding holding of such events will give them a chance to hone their skills further. Besides hailing the performance of Telangana boys team, who lift the championship, he also congratulated the Jammu and Kashmir teams for showing good performance compare to last year's record.
Earlier, the DG, YSS in his welcome address said championship was played on spirit of sportsmanship. He said such events provide an opportunity to participants to know each others' culture, language and living style. He thanked all participants including Managers and Members of School Games Federation of India for making the championship a successful event.
Later, the Chief Secretary distributed trophies among the winner up and runner up teams besides prizes among the participating players.
Among others, Director School Education Jammu, Mr. A. Inqlabi, Director Hospitality and Protocol Mr. Hashmat Ali Khan, Director Physical Education, University of Jammu Mr. Dhian Singh, DIG Mr. Shakeel Ahmad Beig, Organizing Secretary 60th National School Games, Haji Mirza, Deputy Director YSS, (Member Organizing Committee), Kanchan Bala, Convener Finance Committee, Mr. A. R. Shigan, Senior Vice President SGFI Mr. Ashok Kumar, and other senior officers of YSS and SGFI were present on the closing ceremony of the championship.
