I always look for chances to keep visiting Jaipur: Anjana Sukhani

25/04/2015

Bollywood actress and Jaipur girl Anjana Sukhani was recently in the city, and spoke to JT about her career and home town. "Coming back to my home town always gives me a breather. Meeting old friends, going to the same places which used to be our favourite hangouts and reliving those fun memories is great.
I always look for this opportunity. Recently when one of my producers of a Punjabi film told me about shooting somewhere near Pushkar, I was very happy. If everything goes well, we'll be shooting in the blistering heat of Rajasthan in May. I know it will be too hot then, but it's OK," she says.
Anjana, who started her career in Bollywood with Salaam-e-Ishq in 2007, says she isn't satisfied with her career graph. "I won't say that I am satisfied with my career graph. I am a very greedy person who always wants to do bigger and better. Since I had no filmi background, I made some wrong choices by rejecting some plum offers by big banners," she says. The actress then moved to regional cinema. "I was not happy with the kind of roles I was being offered," she explains. Next, she will be seen in Shandaar, a film on a destination wedding.
Anjana is also set to turn producer soon. She explains, "It's just a natural extension. I have been a management student and I know the value of numbers, so why not do something I already know?"
Currently busy with private shows and Punjabi films, she is also planning to write a book. She says, "I have already started working on it. It's a book on personal finance for women in India, and will talk about how Indian women can safeguard their future financially."
