Indian drivers have rental car contracts cancelled in NZ

Melbourne: Two Indian tourists in New Zealand have got their car rental contracts cancelled because of driving too slow at 60kmph in 100kmph zones and stopping their cars in the middle of the road.
The middle-aged drivers drove their two rented vehicles in South Island's Queenstown area yesterday and stopped frequently in the middle of the road, leading to several people reporting them to the police.
"Police received several calls from concerned members of the public about the drivers, who were holidaying together from India.
"They were stopping in the middle of the road to check their Global Positioning System (GPS), and crossing the centre line on the alpine Crown Range road between Queenstown and Wanaka," Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka, of Queenstown was quoted as saying by Stuff Online.
"They just had no idea. There was a real lack of understanding of our road rules," Enoka said.
The two drivers blamed that there was fog, they could not see and they were trying to find Queenstown Airport, which was not showing up on their GPS, it reported. The vehicles were the same make and model and both car rental agreements, from Avis, were cancelled. Both drivers were middle-aged men and it was the first day they had hired the rental cars, Enoka said.
