3 militants killed on LoC, infiltration bid foiled

SRINAGAR, July 3: Army today foiled an infiltration bid in Rampur sector on the Line of Control (LoC), in Uri area of district Baramulla by intercepting a group of 5-6 heavily armed militants.
An army officer said around 5-6 militants were noticed in Noori Post area in Rampur sector of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. “They were challenged and heavy gun battle is on since morning in which 3 militants are killed and one army man was injured in the gun battle so far. However, bodies were not recovered so far as gun battle is on.”
This is the sixth infiltration bid that was foiled this year by army along LoC in Kashmir in which 13 infiltrators were killed.
