The paper was launched by Sh Daleep Padgaonkar, Eminent journalist and then Editor in Chief of the TIMES OF INDIA also remained Centre's Interlocutor and Sh M J Akbar, Eminent journalist and then Editor in Chief of THE ASIAN AGE alongwith Dr Farooq Abdullah the then Chief Minister of J&K.
