Heinous blind murder case solved within hours

JAMMU, May 26: An information was received on 25-05-2017 at P/S Khour that one lady namely Geeta Devi age 35 years W/o Ravinder Kumar R/o Pahariwala, Pallanwala Tehsil Khour was lying in pool of blood in her house. On this information, case FIR No. 33/2017 U/S 302 RPC was registered and Police party headed by SHOP/S Khour SI Jeet Singh rushed to the spot.
During the course of investigation it came to notice that husband of the lady namely Ravinder Kumar was missing. Acting swiftly on the clues that the lady was tortured by her husband in the past, teams were deputed to nab Ravinder Kumar. After strenuous efforts the police team of P/S Khour apprehended Ravinder Kumar and after his sustained questioning he admitted guilt. The weapon of offence is also recovered on the disclosure of the accused who is in Police custody. The whole operation was conducted on ground by SI Jeet Singh I/C SHO P/S Khour under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Dy. SP Munish Anand and SP Rural, Jammu Arun Gupta.
