15 Kgs Poppy Straw recovered

JAMMU, Jun 24: In continuation to the operation Sanjeevani, a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police, today Narwal Police acting on specific information laid a nakka in Narwal area and intercepted one pedestrian. During search of his belonging, Police party recovered 15 Kgs Poppy Straw (Bukhi) from his possession. The narcotic was meant to be sold among the youth of Jammu. In this regard a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation of the case is going on. The arrest and recovery was made by SI Waseem Mehraj I/C PP Narwal under the supervision of SDPO City East Jammu Arun Jamwal and SP Hqrs Jammu Incharge SP South R C Kotwal.
