Chabil organized at Shalamar Chowk

JAMMU, June 25: On the eve of Martyr's day ofBaba Banda Singh Bahadur Jee, Bhai Kanhiya Ji Nishkam Sewa Dal J&K, & Gurudwara Baba Chanda Singh Jee, Jain Bazar, Jammu has distributed Chabil water (Cold Water) among the local citizens at Shalamar Chowk,Jammu below Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Shalamar Road . On the occasion the citizens and sangat also listen to Gurbani Kirtan.
While Speaking Comrade Sukhdev Singh, Chairman Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk Coordination Committee, has also participated. While speaking to the media he appealed to the Government to declare the Kunjwani Crossing Chowk as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Chowk. He said that the demand of the community to install statue of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur at the already decided place be immediately full filled without further delay as the Sh. Kavinder Gupta Hon'ble Speaker J&K Legislaftive Assembly, had also announced several times that Rs 10 lakh from the Constituency development fund for the same Moreover Dr Jitendra Singh Union Minister for State and Minister in PMO and BJP National secretary R P Singh had also supported also assured that they will definitely take up with the Government but no concrete steps has been taken in this regard so far.
While speaking on the occasion S. Sukhbir Singh President Gurudwara Baba Chanda Singh Jee said that we have dedicated the day by distributed the cold water he appealed to the Government for naming the Kunjwani chowk in the name of great warrior, son of the soil Baba Banda Singh Bhadur and for installation of statue.He also said that every citizen of J&K has proud that Amar Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Jee born in J&K.
S. Karandeep Singh, Jasvinder Singh Bagga, Ajit Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Raj Kumar, Vidya Bushan, Chetan Singh, of Bhai Kanhiya Ji Nishkam Sewa Dal J&K, has also participated. S. Avtar Singh Khalsa, Secretary DGPC Jammu, Jathedar Mohinder Singh Member DGPC, Jammu, Kulvinder Singh, President, Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Jee Chand Jammu, Advocate J.A.Kazmi Comrade Raj Kumar, also participated and appreciated the committee members for celebrating the day.
