Police seizes 351 Rolls of Gattu Dor

JAMMU, Aug 13: In continuation to the drive against Chinese thread (Gattu Dor) launched by Jammu Police under the directions of SSP Jammu, during the intervening night of 12th and 13thof August 2017, information was received from a reliable source that one person near Dewana Mandir Kacchi Chawani is selling banned chinese thread (Gattu Dor) illegally.
On this information, Police Party of Police Station Pacca Danga arrested the said person alongwith 351 Rolls (Gattu Dor) which he has to sell among the local youth of the area.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 101/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and further investigation of the case is going on. Sale and use of this Chinese thread is banned in India.
The arrest and recovery was made by SHO P/S Pacca Danga Inspr. Dheeraj Nagpal, under the supervision of SDPO City North Varun Jandiyal and SP City North Dr. Vinod Kumar IPS.
