Dy CM greets people on Janamashtami

SRINAGAR, Aug 14: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today greeted the people of the state on the eve of Janamashtami and hoped that this auspicious occasion would be a harbinger of peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in J&K.
In his message, the Deputy Chief Minister said the teachings of Lord Krishna which have been enshrined in the Shrimad Bhagvad Gita exhort human beings to make every endeavor for the ultimate truth and to do one's duty without caring for material gains. He said observance of such values provides firm foundation for a harmonious society. On this auspicious occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister prayed for the well-being of the people of the State.
