City Police, Jammu conducted surprise checking of markets

JAMMU, Oct 17: On the eve of Dhanteras and upcoming Diwali festival, in-charge SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar, IPS today conducted a surprise checking of various markets in Jammu City.
He impressed upon shop-keepers to follow the directions of the administration in letter and spirit and ensure that no encroachment should be there which can hinder the movement of general public and cause inconvenience besides traffic jam.
He along with a team of officers comprising Varun Jandial-KPS, SDPO City North, Jammu, SI Dheeraj Nagpaul, SHO P/S Pacca Danga, Jammu, SI Kali Charan I/C PP Prade, SI Purab Singh I/C PP Chowk Chabutra, SI Mukesh Sharma I/C PP Rehari, Jammu, SI Ajay Engotra I/C PP Panjtirthi, Jammu conducted patrolling in croweded places and gave on spot directions to nafri deployed to maintain highest level of vigil and ensure that there is no inconvenience and harassment to the customers in particular.
He also issued orders to conduct through patrolling and checking of vehicles to prevent untoward incidents. Further he directed the Police force deployed there to give special focus to security of vital installations and ensure fool-proof territorial security besides briefed the nafri deployed on various Naka Points/ patrolling parties to ensure clean atmosphere in upcoming Diwali festival and extra vigil in the crowded places.
