National Seminar on Applied Linguistics Concluded at SMVDU

Katra, Dec 7: Two-day National Seminar on "Applied Linguistics and Literary Studies", organized by the School of Languages & Literature, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University was concluded on 7 December 2017.
Various topics were discussed during this seminar related to Translation, Literary Studies, and Applied Linguistics. Adding to the details about the Seminar Ms. Simarn Preet Kaur presented the Seminar Report: there were eight sessions chaired by Prof. Rajinish Mishra; Prof. Veerendra Mishra; Prof. Anima Chakraverty; Prof. Varun K. Tripathi; and Dr. Anurag Kumar, where 60 participants from 7 States and 13 Univer sities presented their research papers. In her Valedictory Speech, Prof. Chakravetry suggested the young scholars should be more focused. This two day National Seminar ended on a very informative and productive note. The formal Vote of Thanks was presented by Dr. Anurag Kumar. The seminar concluded with the best paper/poster presentation prize, and with the certificate distribution among all the participants.
