MSME announces ‘Trading’ a part of scheme under PMEGP

NEW DELHI, Dec 7: The Secretary/ CEO, J&K KVIB, Rashid Ahmed Qadri participated in the two days convention of the CEOs of all the States of North India. Union Minister of State for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India Giriraj Singh, on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the performance of States of North India under PMEGP.
On the occasion, the meeting was informed that the performance of J&K State KVIB was judged at No. 1 in North Zone in achieving the target of 1378 number of cases involving a subsidy of Rs. 23.78 crore lacs under Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme.
While projecting the other demands, Secretary/ CEO, J&K KVIB put forth the demand of Cluster Development under SFURTI scheme for sanctioning of Rs. 12 crores, for the cases already submitted to the Ministry of MSME Govt. Of India besides a pilot project of Beekeeping amounting to Rs. 1.25 crores which had already been submitted and discussed by the Minister for Industries & Commerce, J&K State, Chander Parkash Ganga.
Officials said the meeting announced that from onwards now the trading unit will be sanctioned as a unit in favour of the individual applicants which can be a boon for the entrepreneurs who are averse in enterprising.
Secretary/ CEO, KVIB expressed his gratitude to the CEO, KVIC for including trading in the purview of the KVIB schemes.
