JKIAN bring laurels to school

JAMMU, Feb 12: Mohd. Rumman Chak a young and enthusiast football player of JK Public School, Kunjwani brought glory to the school by participating in the 52nd National Football Junior Championship 2017-18 in U-19 matches. The championship was organized by the India Football Federation (AIFF) at UNA Himachal Pradesh from 28 January to 6 February.
Mohd. Rumman Chak was the member of the J & K team which represented the state in the Nationals for the first time.
The J&K team reached finals beating three teams respectively Laksha dweep, Daman Diu and Manipur. The final match was played against Jharkhand.
The team got the Runner up Trophy from the federation for reaching finals and creating history. Each players of the team was awarded with a trophy and a cash price of Rs. 5100 by the J&K Football Association (JKFA). Mohd. Rumman Chak was also felicitated by the J&K Football Association (JKFA) for his outstanding performance.
Today in the morning assembly he was felicitated by the Principal Mr. SK Singh. He received a certificate of appreciation and was applauded for bringing name to school and his family. The school management and staff also congratulated him and the coach, Mr. Elijha.
