Samoon reviews preparedness for Hindi, Sanskrit, Dogri, Punjabi publications

JAMMU, Feb 15: As part of its research journal series, State Higher Education Department has started preparations for Hindi, Sanskrit, Dogri and Punjabi Language publications. In this regard, Principal Secret ary Higher Education Department Dr Asgar Samoon today chaired a meeting of subject experts and reviewed the progress made by them for publication of the research journals in their respective languages. The meeting was attended by a galaxy of language experts, faculty members of Jammu based universities and Colleges.
The Principal Secre tary laid emphasis on promotion of classical and regional languages. He said the Higher Education Department's initiative to publish research journals would go a long way in promotion of literary and academic works produced in these languages as provide scholars and teachers an opportunity to contribute in this venture. He asked the editorial boards to invite research papers and start compilation of the journals for early publication.
