Contribute in “Khelo India” campaign to promote sports culture: Sat

JAMMU, Feb 17: Sports acts as the medium of increasing the limits of one's efficiency, whilst at the same time, leads the society and the Nation on the path of glory, this was stated by the BJP State President & MLA West Sat Sharma as he was attending a function as the Chief Guest which was organized by the BJP District Jammu to felicitate the budding star Cricketer from Jammu, Akash Choudhary S/o Harbans Choudhary a resident of Satwari for his outstanding performance as Top Wicket Taker in recently concluded BCCI's Men North Zone Under-23 One Day Tournament.
Minister of State for Education Priya Sethi, MLA Rajesh Gupta, District President Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria, District President Jammu West Ayodhya Gupta and other senior BJP leaders were also present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma while felicitating Akash Choudhary, said that it is very satisfying that the youth from the region has come forward to prove their mettle in the sports arena. He said that sports field provide a broader constructive platform to the youth for the proliferation of their diverse brilliance in various fields. He said that this also enables one to develop their intuitive cum inventory nature as well as other skills.
Sat said that sports also leads to channelization of youth energy for higher accomplishments of human life by making a base for fit and healthy mind along with sturdy body which will surely lead the Society and the Nation on the path of glory and development.
He also prompted all the BJP leaders to contribute in "Khelo India" campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote sports culture in India, by organizing community level sports events and felicitating budding sportspersons.
Priya Sethi congratulated the young cricketer and wished him all success for his future at the National platform. She said that the parents must promote the sports culture in their young ones while they are in early school life which will boost their performance in studies also.
Rajesh Gupta also congratulated the young cricketer for bringing the laurels to the state and said that the sports provide relief and a sense of relaxation in a life of monotony of routine marked my miseries, hardships and hurdles.
