One arrested with 1.5 Kgs Charas

JAMMU, Apr 16: In continuation to operation Sanjeevani, a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police, today Police Party of P/S Nagrota assist by SOG Component laid a surprise naka at TCP Nagrota. During naka, one Scorpio bearing registration No. JK22-4299 on the way from Srinagar to Jammu was signaled to stop for police checking.
During search of the vehicle, police party recovered 1.5 Kgs. Charas from the possession of its driver. In this regard a case FIR No.89/2018 under relevant sections of law has been registered at P/S Nagrota and further investigation of case is going on.
The arrest and recovery was made by Police team headed by ASI Mohd. Sadiq under the supervision of SHO P/S Nagrota, SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh Slathia and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh.
