NMC demands implementation of recommendations of 7th Pay Commission

Jammu, Apr 16: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today expressed concern over the delay in issuing SRO/ notification regarding implementation of the recommendations of 7th pay commission in favor of the employees of the state Govt. and pensioners with effect from 1-4-2018.
Addressing a well attended NMC workers meet here, Shastri urged Chief Minister's Mehbooba Mufti to immediately direct the concerned to remove any ambiguity on the issue by issuing relevant SRO/notification immediately before the civil secretariat shift to summer capital Srinagar. "Civil secretariat employees should be paid the salaries for April 2018 in advance at Jammu before the 27t April, which is the time for establishment to move to Srinagar." he said. Shastri also expressed the hope that Chief Minister's will take a very sympathetic view of the employees friendly issue, which has been promised friendly issue, which has been promised to be implemented in respect of State Govt. employees and pensioners on the floor of the house.
"Misgivings need to be removed at this moment" Shastri further said Shastri also urged Mehbooba Mufti to make amendments in the SRO-520, adding that SRO 520 needs some amendments including provision of wages of need base, casual and seasonal laborers who have been included and uploaded through biometric identification in 61,000 workers list but not being paid against any wages head in routine, allotment of proper scale while their conversion in regular cadre, need based workers who are in the list but not paid even single time be paid like other workers by making their budgetary provision against wages head, Shastri said that proper amendments in SRO 520 should be incorporated so that cumbersome verification process should not be a cause of inconvenience for these daily rated workers.
He appealed to reconsider the policy and release the pending wages of need based and other workers immediately. Among others who were present on the occasion included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Darshan Bawa, Bopinder Singh, Jai Paul Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Sardhri Lal, Tarseem Sharma, Suraj Parkash, Surinder Kumar, Mohd. Shafi, and others.
